As a third-generation Gibson Island Club member, it is a privilege to serve the Gibson Island community and its real estate needs. My family has long owned a home on the Magothy River—a place central to my life and to many of the relationships I value most—giving me a deep, personal connection to the community I serve.
I have spent the past 17 years selling real estate and am licensed in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. I joined Gibson Island Real Estate, Inc. in 2025. Also affiliated with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in Chevy Chase, I specialize in the sale of luxury homes throughout the Washington metropolitan area. I am proud to have recently represented the buyers in the most expensive home sale ever recorded in downtown Bethesda, which closed at $11,300,000. Over the course of my career, I have listed and sold numerous properties across the region, including many for Gibson Island Club Members and Shareholders.
Before transitioning into real estate, I practiced employment law in Washington, DC, after earning my undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and my Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. I spent seven years at the law firm of Dow Lohnes, where I developed the negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail that continue to define my real estate practice. Earlier in my career, I worked in financial public relations in Chicago, served as a policy assistant with President Bill Clinton’s Domestic Policy Council, and worked for the U.S. Department of Education during my first two years of law school.
In 2009, I joined my mother, the late Anne Emmett—widely regarded as a grande dame of Washington-area real estate—and together we sold homes throughout Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Her integrity, market knowledge, and unwavering commitment to clients continue to shape the way I serve my own clients today.
I live in the Bethesda Sumner neighborhood with my husband, Francis O’Connor, our daughter Lilly, our son Patrick, and Remy, our dog. I am actively involved in the Thomas Pyle and Walt Whitman school PTAs, volunteer with the American Cancer Society, and support a variety of charitable organizations. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, traveling, reading, movies, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends on Gibson Island and at our family home on the Magothy River. Whenever possible, you’ll find me walking the trails at Downs Park.
